I’ve mentioned time and again just how much I LOVE Carson-Dellosa. As a teacher, I would pore through their catalogs, eager for ideas and new products to help my students. Now as a parent, I love finding new games and activities for my children that engage them while helping them develop skills.

Kids tend to receive a lot of things this time of year. With all of the candy, movies, video games, and bells and whistles, learning can sometimes be lost in the shuffle. That’s why I love Carson-Dellosa. Give your child the gift of learning this holiday season. Carson-Dellosa has a HUGE variety of affordable and FUN products that will keep your child’s mind engaged all winter-break long! (Or your kids can get back on track after taking a few weeks off!)

Carson-Dellosa products have a way of making learning FUN.

We recently had the opportunity to play two great new games from Carson-Dellosa. Playing each game were myself, my second grader, and my kindergartner.

The first game we played was Capture the Grid. The board game retails for just $10.99, and helps children develop a range of skills. I loved capturethe variety of skills Capture the Grid addresses. From word skills to critical thinking to gross motor skills, Capture the Grid is total “edu-tainment!” My second grader and kindergartner were both able to work through many of the challenges. (And a few had me looking for the answer sheet!) capture the gridMy kids were spelling with their arms, working through word puzzles, doing spelling challenges, racing around the room, and working on their literacy and thinking skills, all while having a ton of fun! We had a great afternoon of playing and learning together.

bumpitThe second game we got to play was Bump It! This game retails for just $9.99 and helps your child develop their math skills, as well as important critical thinking. Work on addition, subtraction, counting and more as you race to match up math facts. The timer helps kids think on their feet and cement the math facts to memory.
