I love brownies. I’m also a huge fan of taking a boxed dessert up a few notches by adding a few extra ingredients. Today’s recipe uses a regular boxed brownie mix – but the result is something amazing. As soon as my daughter took a bite, she looked at me and said, “Promise me you’ll make these again.” That was one promise that definitely won’t be hard to keep!

These are some of the best brownies I’ve made – I’m talking ooey-gooey, dangerously delicious, good-enough-for-company brownies. (And I’ve made some pretty awesome brownies!) Your friends and family will think you’re fancy and clever, and you can smile knowing just how easy these were to make!

Ingredients

1 box brownie mix (*plus water, oil, and eggs as called for on back of box)

1  (7.5 oz) container marshmallow cream

1 cup canned chocolate frosting

1 cup Skippy® Creamy Peanut Butter

 

To Prepare

1. Bake brownies as directed on package. Allow brownies to fully cool.

2. Drop the marshmallow cream by spoonfuls on top of the cooled brownies. *I found it simpler to use two spoons. I scooped with one spoon, and pushed it off onto the brownies with a second spoon.

*The marshmallow cream WILL cover the entire pan. I was skeptical at first, but as it warmed, it really spread out. Just do your best. It doesn’t have to be perfect. (You’re going to cover it up anyways!)

3. Heat the frosting in the microwave for approximately 30 seconds, or until melted. Pour the frosting on top of the marshmallow cream.

4. Heat the peanut butter for 30-60 seconds, or until smooth and melted. (Mine too a minute to be truly pourable.) Pour the peanut butter on top of the frosting layer.

5. With a butter knife, marble the top by drawing vertical lines up and down the toppings.

6. Chill the brownies in the refrigerator before serving. I kept mine in the refrigerator until they were gone, as I preferred them to be cold.

Now, time to exercise a little bit of self-control! Once you taste these brownies, you’ll want to eat the entire pan. Happy baking (and eating!) everyone! Have a blessed week!
