Cereal is the busy mom’s best friend. When you need to get your kids out the door or on the school bus in the morning, there often isn’t time for a home-cooked breakfast. We need quick options that will fill our kids up as they head off to the classroom.

I don’t know about you – but as I shop the cereal aisle at my local grocery store, I notice the prices going UP. With a family of 6, we go through cereal fairly quickly – and need to make our dollars stretch. That is why I am a huge fan of Malt-O-Meal cereals.

Whether you’ve tried them or not, you have likely seen Malt-O-Meal cereal at your grocery store. They’re hard to miss as they come in the HUGE bags. (Forget about traditional “family size” packaging…..these bags really last!!!)

cerealWith 28 incredible varieties (that are just as good as similar cereals), you are sure to find many (many!) bags you’d like to try! You can head over to the Malt-O-Meal website to check out each of their tasty varieties. Many of their cereals are actually preferred over the competitors! Try for yourself and experience the money-saving delicious difference.

My husband and children are all CRAZY about Frosted Mini Spooners. We buy the largest size bag every time I shop. It’s an incredible value for our family. My personal favorite is Cocoa Dyno-Bites. cocoa-dyno-bites

My kids are also big fans of Marshmallow Mateys! (Which also make excellent cereal treat bars!)

Have you tried Malt-O-Meal cold cereal? If so, let me know YOUR favorite variety in the comments below. Happy eating! (And saving!)

  1. Cereal prices have gone up. I have to admit I really never buy the bagged cereal. I guess I have it in my head it won’t taste as good. I should give a try and save some money.
