I am obsessed with the 1960’s. I love the period, the decor, the history, and the overall kitsch. I collect cookbooks from that time period, and it would seem that the pinnacle of entertaining was to serve some type of Jell-O mold to your guests. That’s just how it was done. Flash forward to today, and I doubt many women are eager to serve up some Jell-O to company. I never thought I would be. (And I totally am!)

Cherry Pie Jell-O has honestly become one of my “go-to” side dishes for company. Everyone that eats it LOVES it, and nearly always asks for the recipe. When I tell them, they almost can’t believe how easy it is.

What’s so special about cherry Jell-O you ask? This Jell-O has the most incredible texture. It’s delicious, and unlike any Jell-O dish I’ve ever tried. Cherry pie filling makes ordinary Jell-O truly something “company” worthy. Try it for yourself and see just how good it is! Enjoy!

Ingredients

1 box cherry Jell-O (6 oz size) *Regular or Sugar-Free

3 cups water

1 can cherry pie filling (I’ve used regular and “lite” and both work equally well.)

To Preparereciepes (5 of 8)

1. Dump the Jell-O mix into a large bowl.

2. Add 2 cups of boiling water and stir until all of the gelatin is dissolved.

3. Add 1 cup of cold water.

4. Add in the can of cherry pie filling. (It will sink to the bottom, but that is okay!)

5. Refrigerate until set.

I typically make this in the morning so it is ready by dinner.
