Last night, three of my children and I were able to attend Disney On Ice: Frozen at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. Thousands of Disney fans packed the seats. From young families, to grandparents, to young Disney-bounding adults – not to mention the HUNDREDS of little girls dressed up like Elsa and Anna, the room was packed with people ready to experience Disney magic.

That indescribable Disney magic gets me every time. I am always moved to tears by the way Disney inspires that sense of childlike wonder and delight – in EVERYONE. It’s hard to watch the show and not feel something. As I heard (and LOVED) the collective sighs and squeals every time a new character was introduced, I couldn’t help but smile – on the inside and outside. While the arrival of Olaf got the biggest crowd reaction, even villain-in-disguise Hans got many, “I see Hans!!” and “There he is!!”

My iPhone pictures do NOT do justice to the amazing imagery and special effects. Watch Elsa’s castle form before your eyes. See the snow monster grow and emerge. Smoke, lights, and even sparks will appear. But best of all? SNOW! Absolutely breathtaking.

Sing along to ALL your favorite Frozen songs, and watch the story you know and love (and likely have memorized if you have kids) unfold in front of you. The casting was fantastic, and Anna absolutely steals the show. She was incredible – with all the spunk and tenacity of the cartoon version.

The musical numbers are a lot of fun, and you are sure to hear all the young fans in the crowd singing along. From “Let it Go” to “In Summer” to “Fixer-Upper” all the songs you’ve come to love will be featured.
