This is one of my favorite desserts to make. It is SUPER quick, easy enough that my four year old could make it, and everyone loves it! I usually have all of the ingredients on hand as well, which makes this a great dessert to make when you have unexpected company or are simply craving something sweet at say, 8:00 pm on a random Thursday. Skeptical? Are you shaking your head thinking you could never serve a “pantry dessert” to company? Let me change your mind my friend..Here we go!

Ingredients:

1 large can of peaches in syrup

1 box of yellow cake mix

1 stick of margarine (I suppose you could use butter, but honestly, I prefer margarine, and don’t even buy butter..)
And that is it for the ingredients! A 3 ingredient dessert good enough for company! Crazy eh?

Dump the can of peaches, syrup and all into a 9×13 pan. I buy the sliced peaches for this dessert, and like to just cut them a bit smaller. (You can do this right in the pan.) Certainly if you bought the peach halves, you will  need to do some cutting! (I have also made this using more than one can of peaches, but the one can will work just fine!)

Sprinkle the box of cake mix on top of the peaches. Make sure it is evenly distributed, and that there are no large clumps of powder. If you like less of a topping, you certainly don’t have to add the whole box.

Melt your stick of margarine, and drizzle that over the cake mix.

Put your pan of peachy deliciousness in a 350 degree oven for about 35 minutes, or until the top is a nice golden brown.

I like to serve mine warm, with a dollop of whipped cream. It is also terrific with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Trust me, this will change your life. (Okay, maybe not, but it IS very good!)

Enjoy!
