Hi..I’m Bekki, and I’m chasing Supermom. Quite literally infact. I find that we all are…I began to blog several years ago, when I had just started my journey as a stay at home mom. I felt inadequate…stressed…and frankly like I should be vacuuming in pearls and high heels. Realizing that I was not alone in my crazy quest to be “Supermom” , I began my official website, “Chasing Supermom” in August of 2011. I wanted to establish a place where moms could come together, receive validation, find useful tips, realistic recipes, and a true-to-life picture of everyday motherhood. We’re not perfect, but we wake up each day wanting what is best for our families and our children. We try. We fail. We’re chasing the dream…chasing “Supermom.”
What I wanted moms to realize, is that they are NOT alone in their struggles…We will all forever be chasing “Supermom.” She’s not real. We’re not perfect…none of us! Yep, not even the mom in line at the grocery store with the perfect little sweater dress, styled hair, earrings.(I’ll bet you she stuck her kids in front of Toy Story 3 to achieve that look)….Not even the mom toting around the extremely quiet kids at the library (I guarantee you they yell at home..) Not even the mom who manages to juggle soccer practice, preschool, music lessons, swimming lessons, and playdates..(Guarantee it that she is drinking each night by 5:15.) We all stumble and fall….mess up…say things to our husbands and kids we wish we could take back…We’re not perfect mothers, but we’re all in this together.
My blog, Chasing Supermom is broken down into several components:
The Critic’s Corner – I am blessed to be able to review great products for families and children. In this section of my blog, I get to share my opinions with all of you! I love working with businesses and showcasing quality products and companies. I do a lot of children’s book reviews, and am lucky enough to work with many great publishing companies. If you own a business, write books, or have a product you’d like to promote, I’d love to work with you. I consider reviewing products and working with businesses to be an absolute honor, and I take my job very seriously. I was also just voted the tenth best Product Review blog! Contact me for more info!
Diary of a Supermom – You won’t want to miss my blog’s weekly feature, “The Confessional.” You can even guest blog in this feature! Each week a new mom steps into The Confessional and confesses all of her mothering “sins” all in the name of absolution and validation! We all mess up…We use DJ Lance Rock as a babysitter…We long to have a 30 minute time-out….Our kids pick up our dirty words…But, we’re all in it together!
I’d LOVE for you to check out a few “Diary of a Supermom” posts that are reflective of who I am as a blogger!

Hi Bekki!
Glad you found me, and finally working my way back around to you (those darn kids that take up all my free time…) Following now so that I can empathize with other frazzled moms who are trying to maintain spitup-free wardrobes and hold on to a small shred of sanity.
What level did you teach? Is it safe to assume preschool? Those folks are my heroes. I love my daughter to pieces, but I could never teach an entire classroom of that age level. It takes a special gift.
“See” you soon!
Awesome! Glad you had time to come visit! I so understand about kids and free time, and this crazy ride called motherhood. I taught second grade, LAP reading, and kindergarten (where I spent most of my time.) Loved it, but I will tell ya that my own kids are at times much harder than watching 24 other people’s children!
Hi following on twitter & facebook:)
