I love to bake….probably a little too much.  I love coming up with new ways to make boxed baking mixes just a little bit more special. Cookies and cream is one of my all-time favorite flavors….throw in a brownie, and you’ve got yourself one tasty dessert. I made these cookies and cream brownies for my small group this week, and they were a HUGE hit! (Which is a good thing, as I would have sat and eaten the whole pan by myself if there had been leftovers…) These are so easy and use a store-bought brownie mix and canned frosting…so simple! (And yet, so devilishly delicious!)

Here is what you’ll need to make your new favorite brownie!

Ingredients

Family Size (9x 13) Brownie Mix

Water, eggs, and oil as called for on brownie mix (*Make the fudge like brownies, NOT the cake-like brownies!)

About 1/2 a package of Oreos

1/2 can of the Betty Crocker Whipped frosting, Whipped Cream flavor

To Prepare

Prepare brownie mix as directed on package.

Crush about one row of Oreo cookies (You can measure out about 1 – 1 1/2 cups worth if you like….I just eyeball things). I left mine in decent sized pieces.

Stir the crushed cookies into the brownie batter, and bake as directed.

While the brownies are cooling, prepare about 1/2 cup of finely ground Oreo cookies. (I used my food processor for this.)

Mix the finely ground Oreo cookie crumbs into about 1/2 can of the Whipped, Whipped Cream frosting. Mix well. If you like a thicker frosting, go ahead and use the whole can, and an additional handful or so of the crushed cookie crumbs. (This is not an exact science….You can’t screw this frosting up!)

Spread the deliciousness that is your frosting on top of the cooled brownies.

Try not to eat the whole pan yourself. Or do. Life is short.
