Pink! Pink! Pink! The first time we read “Pinkalicious”, my young daughter’s eyes filled with joy and delight as she exclaimed, “She’s SO beautiful!” Now, several years later, my daughter is still captivated by “Pinkalicious” (and the fantastic series of books that have followed since) and eagerly turns and re-turns the pages. Pinkalicious is a girl she relates to, connecting their similar interests and passion for all things pink. And as my six year old stated, “Plus, she’d be really fun to play with, because she has her own unicorn!” Pinkalicious is the “Ramona” of today’s picture books….a spunky, fun-loving, sometimes mischievous, heroine with a penchant for pink, a wildly delightful imagination, and an infectious playful spirit.
It all started with an innocent cupcake. (I wonder how many stories start that way!) Pinkalicious simply could not resist the puffy pink frosting and lure of the rosy sweet treats. Alas, our pink-loving little lady did not heed the warning of her parents, and ate pink cupcakes to her fuschia-loving heart’s content. When she woke, she was PINK, and suffering from pinkititis! The only cure for pinkititis? Go green! Pinkalicious will have you eagerly awaiting to see her fate. Will she give in and give up her passion for pink or will the lure of those pinkalicious treats be too much to resist?
It’s not just pink….it’s Pinkalicious! Just about every little girl has a love affair with PINK, and the children in your life (especially the girls) will fall in love with this head-strong, fun-loving little girl with a passion for pink. The Kann sisters, Victoria and Elizabeth have brought to life an unforgettable character who is sure to charm the hearts of little girls for many years to come. With charming prose and wonderfully creative illustrations with a vintage flair, Pinkalicious will engage and delight young readers.
One of you will get to win an adorable Pinkalicious book pack courtesy of Scholastic! I found this Pinkalicious Pack in the June Seesaw Club Flyer ! I received “Pinkalicious” by Victoria and Elizabeth Kann, and “Pinkalicious: School Rules” by Victoria Kann. This pack is just $7!!
