I don’t think it matters if you’re a Democrat, a Republican, or an Independent….I’ve never heard anyone say, “Ugh…hated that Lincoln….freeing the slaves…ending the Civil War…” Comments like that just don’t happen. Both sides of the political aisle can come together and agree that Abraham Lincoln was perhaps one of the greatest presidents to ever lead our country…..and leadership is really what “Lincoln”, a new motion picture from Dreamworks is all about.
Steven Spielberg stated, “Our movie is really about a working leader who must make tough decisions and get things done in the face of overwhelming opposition.” That’s really what leadership is all about….making choices, sticking by them, and not concerning yourself with those who oppose you. “Lincoln” focuses on the last four months of the president’s life and the political strategizing he undertook at the close of the Civil War to ensure that slavery would be forever outlawed.
“Lincoln” is a DreamWorks, Twentieth Century Fox, Participant Media production opening in limited release November 9, expanding November 16, 2012. The movie stars Daniel Day Lewis as Abraham Lincoln….and doesn’t he look amazing?! The similarity is unbelievable!
