In conjunction with Angel Hair Foundation, Disney on Ice is asking Oregonians to participate in a heartwarming hair donation campaign
to benefit children suffering from hair loss in honor of its newest show, Dare to Dream. Inspired by Rapunzel, the Angel Hair Foundation is thrilled to be partnering with Disney on Ice in efforts to support children suffering hair loss from a medical condition.
Chris Roddy, Director of Marketing and Development at Angel Hair Foundation. “When we reach out to support kids in Oregon who have lost their
hair due to medical illness, we hear the same powerful story: confidence and a strong sense of self can heal, energize and make dreams come true.”
Pigtails & Crewcuts Salon, Sit Still Salon and Whipper-Snippers, will provide free hair cuts for those willing to donate from October 1 – 22, 2012. The first fifty donors will receive two free tickets to see the opening night of Disney On Ice presents Dare to Dream.
Hair must be a minimum of 12 inches in length and in good condition. Please see more details about donation requirements here.
As the proud mother of a child who just chose to donate her own previously very Rapunzel-like hair, I urge you to consider donating your hair for children in need.
Hope to see you ringside as Disney’s Dare to Dream hits the ice later this October!
