Since 1937, the Cinnamon Bear has been delighting children young and old. It all began as a radio special, airing between Thanksgiving and Christmas each year. Children and families would gather around their radio and listen in to hear the adventures of the Cinnamon Bear and the Barton twins as they explored the magical Maybeland. Paddy O’Cinnamon brought families together.
Like many children who grew up in the Pacific Northwest, I remember visiting with the Cinnamon Bear at the local mall each year. My Christmas tree is decorated with Cinnamon Bear ornaments that I collected years ago. For me, the Cinnamon Bear Cruise is about nostalgic memories from my childhood. My children will be creating new holiday memories, as they meet the Cinnamon Bear for the first time. The Portland Spirit has dedicated itself to preserving this beloved holiday tradition through an annual Cinnamon Bear Cruise, and Paddy O’Cinnamon is once again, bringing families together. Learn more about the Cinnamon Bear Cruise on board the Portland Spirit HERE.
Once aboard the Portland Spirit on the enchanting Cinnamon Bear Cruise, you’ll enjoy special holiday goodies as you meet a cast of fanciful characters. The Portland Spirit will be transformed into the magical Maybeland, as characters from the radio show and book interact with your family. There will be storytelling from Queen Melissa, music, magic with Presto the Magician, and more! Shake hands with elves and fairies, meet Captain Taffy and his crew, dance with the Crazy Quilt Dragon, and even take a picture with the Cinnamon Bear, Paddy O’Cinnamon himself!
Brighten your holiday season with this special holiday cruise that is sure to become a family tradition. I am so excited to introduce this part of my childhood with my own children as we board this magical cruise.
