Mmmm….cake batter. Is there anything quite as good as licking the beater after making a cake? I’m obviously not alone in my obsession, as “cake batter” is the rage in recipes right now. Everything from ice cream to snack mix has gotten a dose of cake batter flavor. But really, who wants to whip up a cake every week just to get their batter fix? So, I started to think about cookies…

I LOVE to bake…especially cookies. I wanted to combine my love of cookies with my love of cake batter…a match perfectly orchestrated¬† by the bakery gods. These cookies are soft, chewy, and full of cake batter flavor. I added M&M candies for a bit of chocolate flavor, but I think sprinkles would be a super cute addition as well, especially for kids!

1 box yellow cake mix

1/2 c. oil

2 eggs

Optional: M&M candies, sprinkles

To Prepare:

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees

2. Mix together dry cake mix, oil, and eggs. Slowly beat in M&M candies or sprinkles if desired.

3. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden, and slightly soft in the center. (Cookies that are allowed to finish baking OUT of the oven remain soft and chewy.)

This recipe makes between 12-18 cookies, depending on the size. Enjoy this FUN and tasty cookie that will solve your cake batter fix!
