Mmmm….cake batter. Is there anything quite as good as licking the beater after making a cake? I’m obviously not alone in my obsession, as “cake batter” is the rage in recipes right now. Everything from ice cream to snack mix has gotten a dose of cake batter flavor. But really, who wants to whip up a cake every week just to get their batter fix? So, I started to think about cookies…

I LOVE to bake…especially cookies. I wanted to combine my love of cookies with my love of cake batter…a match perfectly orchestrated  by the bakery gods. These cookies are soft, chewy, and full of cake batter flavor. I added M&M candies for a bit of chocolate flavor, but I think sprinkles would be a super cute addition as well, especially for kids!

Ingredients:

1 box yellow cake mix

1/2 c. oil

2 eggs

Optional: M&M candies, sprinkles

To Prepare:

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees

2. Mix together dry cake mix, oil, and eggs. Slowly beat in M&M candies or sprinkles if desired.

3. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until lightly golden, and slightly soft in the center. (Cookies that are allowed to finish baking OUT of the oven remain soft and chewy.)

This recipe makes between 12-18 cookies, depending on the size. Enjoy this FUN and tasty cookie that will solve your cake batter fix!
