Recently, my daughter was invited to her friend’s birthday party. I had no idea what to get her friend. It’s hard to know what kids are into, what toys they already have, what they need, etc. On top of not knowing what this little boy might like, money was tight, and we didn’t have much to spend on a gift. I wanted to figure out a way to make what little we could give, seem cool and fun to receive. I came up with these cute little money balloons.
1. Fold your dollar bill in half lengthwise, and roll as tightly as possible, creasing as you roll. (This will help you get the tightest and smallest roll possible.)
2. Stuff the rolled up money into an “un-blown up” balloon.
3. Blow up the balloon and tie it off.
4. Carefully write “Pop Me!” on each balloon.
You can either place one dollar into small balloons, or multiple bills into one larger balloon. I chose to use water balloons to fill up a gift bag and give the child more balloons to pop. (*Water balloons are fairly difficult to blow up, but it CAN be done!)
Nestle your balloons into a gift bag filled with tissue paper. Your gift will be the hit of the party!
