Kids work hard at school, exercising their bodies and brains. When my two school-agers get off the bus in the afternoon, they are ready for a snack. Here is a list of some great snack ideas to keep them going until dinner.

Rev® Wraps

Hormel® REV® wraps are the perfect after-school snack (or perfect addition to a lunchbox!). Packed with protein, and quality ingredients, these get your kids through the afternoon slump. revwraps

Our favorite flavors are:

o Ham and Cheese – ham, cheddar cheese & soft white wrap
o Pepperoni Pizza – pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese & soft white wrap
pepperonistixHormel® Pepperoni Stix

Gluten-free with 5 grams of protein, these individually wrapped pepperoni “stix” are a fun and unique snack. For kids who tire of crackers or pretzels and are craving something new, these pepperoni stix are great to try. Look for these in the refrigerator case at your local grocery store.

Hormel® Pepperoni with Cheese and Crackers

Turn regular cheese and crackers up a notch with the addition of Hormel Pepperoni or Hormel Turkey Pepperoni. (I ALWAYS have Hormel’s Pepperoni on hand!) Put out a plate of your favorite crackers, small slices of cheese, and a handful of pepperoni slices. Kids will love the new flavorful twist on an old classic.

Chi-Chi’s® Snackerschichis

Individual cups of either salsa or nacho cheese are perfect to pair with tortilla chips or veggies. If you can’t find the Snackers in a store near you, why not serve up some Chi-Chi’s salsa with veggies? Salsa is a fun alternative to ordinary ranch dip. (And just might encourage more reluctant veggie eaters!)
