Theodore Geisel, more commonly known as Dr. Seuss, was one of a kind in the literary world. Ingenious and unwaveringly optimistic, Dr. Seuss educated, entertained, and inspired millions of children and adults alike. In many of his stories lie precious nuggets of wisdom and words to live by. Perhaps one of the most quotable authors of our time, Dr. Seuss’s words will love on forever.
I have compiled a list of all (or nearly all) of Dr. Seuss’s books. Read them.(And then read them again!) Fill your bookshelves with these titles and let your children and grandchildren experience the wonder, and the wisdom amongst the whimsy.
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” ~Dr. Seuss

Inspirational Dr. Seuss Books
These happen to be my FAVORITE Dr. Seuss books. The layers of meaning beneath the whimsy and nonsense will astound you. Dr. Seuss had something to say – and said it in the most creative and imaginative way possible. (And for that, he will always be one of my heroes.)
1. The Lorax
“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, Nothing is going to get better. It’s not.” (My FAVORITE Seuss quote ever!!!)
“And the turtles, of course…all the turtles are free, as turtles and, maybe, all creatures should be.”
“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the one who’ll decide where to go…”
4. The Sneetches and Other Stories
” They decided that Sneetches are Sneetches. And no kind of Sneetch is the best on the beaches. That day, all the Sneetches forgot about stars and whether they had one or not, upon thars.”
“A person’s a person, no matter how small.”
“I meant what I said and I said what I meant.”
7. Did I Ever Tell You How Lucky You Are?
“You ought to be thankful a hole heaping lot, for the places and people you’re lucky you’re not!”
8. How the Grinch Stole Christmas
“Christmas doesn’t come from a store, maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more….”
9. Thidwick the Big-Hearted Moose
“For a host, above all, must be kind to his guests.”
10. Oh, the Thinks You Can Think!
“Oh the thinks you can think up if only you try!”

I saw one set on Amazon that had 58 of his books – but it was fairly expensive, and only available from a third-party seller.
