NCircle Entertainment’s mission is to provide “Entertainment that Educates.” As a former teacher who is passionate about education, I so appreciate companies that seek to provide television and movies that teach while they entertain. I’ll be honest – there are days where I am SO thankful for DVD’s. With a work-from-home job and four kids, there are times when I need to get something done, and have to pop in a DVD to help keep the kids busy.

With great titles from NCircle Entertainment, I can erase that mom guilt, knowing that my kids are learning while they’re watching.

We were blessed with ten great titles, including six NEW titles! The six new DVD’s were:

  • Sid the Science Kid: Now That’s Using Your Brain! Sid the Science Kid

o    Sid discovers that the brain controls all kinds of actions such as walking, thinking and breathing and wants to learn more about how it works.

My kids are BIG fans of Sid the Science Kid. They love learning more about science and the way things work. I love that they are getting an introduction to the scientific process, developing their curiosity, and finding out more about the world around them. Sid the Science Kid is always a great choice.

  • Octonauts Calling All SharksOctonauts: Calling All Sharks

o    Join the Octonauts aboard the Octopod as they come face to face with a trio of pesky Cookiecutter sharks, look after an injured Lemon shark and stop a Whitetip shark who is chasing the Gup-A!

My kids were thrilled to receive an Octonauts movie. Since cutting cable over a year ago, they have missed their Octonaut friends. My kids love learning all about underwater animals. Sharks are so popular right now – and my children were excited to learn more about these amazing creatures.

  • Octonauts: Meet the Octonauts Meet the Octonauts

o    Join the Octonauts as they explore the world’s oceans, rescue the creatures who live there, and protect their habitats above and below the waves!

If your child isn’t yet familiar with The Octonauts, you’ll want to check out Meet the Octonauts. Meet the crew and explore and save the ocean.

  • Cat in the Hat DVDThe Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That: Let’s Go on an Adventure

o    When the Cat eats the last chocolate, Nick and Sally must fly to Coco-a-licious to restock their supply. But princess Lotta-Chocka’s helpers are away. Join the Cat and the kids as they make chocolate today!

The Cat in the Hat is another favorite at our house. In this DVD, the kids find out where chocolate comes from. This was VERY interesting for my children – and inspired a great conversation about how our food is grown and made. The Cat in the Hat introduces information about science and animals in a fun and creative way.

  • The Wiggles: Hot Potatoes! The Best of the WigglesBest of the wiggles

o    The beloved and wildly successful children’s entertainment group has finally released a collection of their most popular songs, including Big Red Car, Toot Toot Chugga Chugga, The Monkey Dance and much more.

This DVD brought back SO many memories! My oldest daughter and I used to watch The Wiggles together. It’s been six years, but I knew the words to every song – and so did she! My younger kids, who haven’t seen the Wiggles before, really enjoyed the music, and started dancing right away.

  • Word World Hide and SeekWordWorld: Hide and Seek!

o    Join the WordFriends and play a game of Hide and Seek! In this special game, the friends have to hide behind WordThings that end in “ake.” BUG builds a RAKE, and PIG builds a CAKE. But SHARK is so big that it s hard for him to find a good hiding place.

I am a huge fan of anything that promotes early literacy. Your kids will learn to read and spell along with their animal friends. This is a great show that promotes word families, rhyming, and beginning spelling and reading.

We also received four additional titles:

Mike the Knight: Knight in Training

Sid the Science Kid: Backyard Campout

Sonic the Hedgehog: Sonic Goes Green

The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That: Ocean Commotion

With titles as low as $5.99 (!!!), you are sure to find an educational DVD that is right for your child AND your budget. I love that they offer titles that are just right for each of my children. Whether your child is 2 or 10, there is an educational DVD they will enjoy. These movies are perfect to have on hand for those crazy afternoons, road trips, or just your average Tuesday morning. Movies from NCircle Entertainment would also make a fantastic gift! Stock up now for Christmas, or for school birthday parties!
