When I was pregnant, I LOVED looking through baby name books. However, even with half a dozen thick books, it took a lot of time to find just the right name. So often as parents, we feel like our child’s name must come from a place of great meaning. However, I’m of the belief that a great name can come from anywhere. Who better to take inspiration from than perhaps the most creative company out there – Disney!
I am a HUGE Disney fan, and love watching Disney films with my family. From the classic live-action favorites to the new Pixar releases, I’m in. Disney movies inspire me, stir my emotions, and make me consider my own story. Their stories have become part of mine. I went through the Disney database of movies, and looked for “stand-out” names. While there were many I left out, these were my favorites – inspired by beloved characters.
Of course, I chose to leave out a few names from some of my favorite Disney classics. As much as I adore Angela Lansbury and could watch Bedknobs and Broomsticks over and over again, I doubt that many people are interested in the name Eglantine. I also chose to leave out the names of villains and other unsavory characters. (However, if names like Cruella, Drizella, and Maleficent float your boat, go right ahead and use them.)
Sit back, relax, and get inspired by these 60 ADORABLE baby girl Disney names!
