Each of these items were hand-picked and selected with girls in the upper elementary grades in mind. These girls aren’t quite tweens and aren’t quite ready to put away the toybox. This is an age where girls love to create, are figuring out who they are, and yet, still need to exercise their imagination through pretend play.
Elsa and Anna Sparkle Princess Dresses for 18 inch. doll (fits American Girl dolls!)
If your daughter is a fan of Frozen and carts her American Girl doll with her everywhere she goes, you won’t want to miss out on these two gorgeous doll dresses! Your little one will have so much fun dressing up her doll in these costumes.
Have you seen all the kids wearing those rubber band bracelets, rings, and jewelry? Your daughter can learn to make them with her very own Rainbow Loom! My daughter received one for her birthday and she loves getting crafty and creative with it!
*Fun fact – my husband wrote the music for all of their Youtube instructional videos!
Need additional rubber bands? How about C-clips? Looking for a handy way to store all of her loom supplies?
I just love the Orb Factory. Girls can make and design their own bracelets with this kit. Choose from hundreds of stick and style gems and create something just their style. A fun and creative gift.
If your daughter is into making her own jewelry, I also love this do it yourself charm bracelet kit!
My daughter LOVES to be in the kitchen and is beginning to follow recipes on her own. This cookbook is designed with girls ages 7-12 in mind, and includes bonus craft activities to go along with the recipes. Pair the cookbook with a cute apron, measuring cups, and a few ingredients!
A journal is a great way for a girl to develop not only as a writer, but as a thinker! My daughter still loves to show me what she writes, and it is so much fun to see her stories, lists, ideas, drawings, and favorite things on paper.
One year, we bought our daughter a real American Girl doll. She loved it. The next year, she asked for another one. Um, no. I bought her an Our Generation doll instead. These dolls, found at Target and online are adorable and affordable. She thought it was an American Girl doll and loved it just as much. These are a great option for families who can’t quite afford the expense of an alternate brand, but still want a quality doll.
We have one of these sets and my daughter LOVES it. While she is happy to build fire trucks and Star Wars ships with her brother, she really enjoyed having a building set that was just for her. There are a bunch of different sets to choose from. Choose the stage (featured), the salon, or the Luxury Mansion, just to name a few.
