Earlier this summer, we were blessed to take a two-week road trip across the country. We traveled from Washington to Ohio, stopping at some of our nation’s most beautiful spots along the way.
My husband grew up in a small town in Ohio. His hometown is also home to a growing Amish community. I absolutely loved being able to get a first-hand look at the Amish way of life. I was fascinated with their farms, and enjoyed our trip to an Amish bakery and general store.
I also enjoyed looking through my mother-in-law’s collection of Amish cookbooks. I copied down SO many recipes that I cannot wait to make.
Today during our homeschooling time, I had my kids prepare one of the recipes I copied while in Ohio. I love that the recipe was simple enough for my children to prepare on their own. It was an absolutely delicious snack – perfect for your kids as they get off the bus in the afternoon!
You’re going to love this tasty little dip. Scoop it up with apples, carrots, pretzels, or graham crackers! Enjoy! Honestly, this would be a great little sandwich too – like a twist on the old-school Fluffernutter!
Ingredients
1/2 cup SKIPPY® Natural Peanut Butter
1/2 cup marshmallow fluff
1/4 tsp. maple flavoring (You can also use maple syrup if desired. If using syrup, you’ll need to add more than 1/4 tsp though!)
2 T – 1/4 cup hot water (use what you need!)
To Prepare
1. Mix together the peanut butter, marshmallow fluff, and maple flavoring.
2. Add a few tablespoons of hot water and stir. Continue to add water until the dip reaches the desired consistency.
3. Taste the dip, and add more maple flavoring if desired.
4. Serve with fruit, veggies, or crackers and enjoy!

I love the combination of peanut butter and maple. My children and I will love this. It will also be fun to make with them. Thanks a bunch! 🙂
