The Journey Home is a heartwarming tale of a boy and his need to reunite a polar bear cub with his mother. Despite the warnings of his family and friends, Luke speeds off on a snowmobile, with the cub in tow, deep into the frozen wilderness. But when a violent storm closes in, Luke’s mother and family friend Muktuk frantically search for the daring pair as they defy starvation and below freezing temperatures so both boy and bear can complete their own journeys home.

In the film, young Luke feels compelled to help. Despite the warnings of his family and friends, Luke sets off on an unforgettable adventure to do what he thinks is right. This is a story of discovery, standing up for what you are passionate about, and never (ever!) giving up!

My kids are HUGE animal lovers. Living on a farm, they are surrounded by animals every day, and are learning to care for them, protect them, and respect them. I see so much of them in Luke – and love their innate natural compassion for living creatures.
