I’m sort of a sucker for baked goods, and there are many mornings where the allure of a fresh cup of coffee helps me peel back the covers. You can imagine my excitement when I learned that Dunkin’ Donuts is combining baked goods and coffee in the most delicious way. Now you don’t need to make a trip to the bakery (or consume hundreds of empty calories!) to get the taste of a cupcake – you can just drink a cup of Dunkin’ Donuts new Vanilla Cupcake Flavored Coffee!
Joining the already popular Dunkin’ Donuts Bakery Series line (featuring flavors like Chocolate Glazed Donut and Blueberry Muffin), this coffee is so good you can drink it black! I’m a girl who loves her coffee creamer, but find that I don’t need it when I’m drinking the Vanilla Cupcake flavor! You can find out more about all the delicious tastes you can have at home by visiting http://www.dunkinathome.com/. Head over to the website and find a local retailer near you!!
I got together with the ladies from the mom’s group I lead and shared laughter, adult conversation, and COFFEE (aka – the lifeblood of the busy mom!)
Moms, it is SO important to take time to gather with friends. There is nothing like connecting with women who “get it.” We need to spend time with people whose eyes widen in horror when the LEGO bin spills, who have the Lion Guard theme song constantly stuck in their head, and who understand the mourning that occurs when your child gives up naps. Here are a few tips to keep in mind when planning a get-together or playdate.
*Keep it SIMPLE! Don’t feel the need to create a “table-scape”, clean the entire house, or put out a gourmet spread! Your friends are REAL people – just like you, so don’t feel the need to pretend to be Martha Stewart.
*Keep the coffee coming! Make several pots of coffee in advance, and pour them into a larger carafe to keep it hot for your guests. This way, no one will have to wait for their cup to brew!
*Have separate snacks ready for the kids!
*Have a pot-luck! Don’t feel like you have to make all the food. Ask everyone to bring something to share. You can find some great lightened-up recipes to try on Hungry Girl!
*Late to mid-morning works well! Plan your play-date so that moms have time to get older kids off to school, but still have time to get home for lunch and afternoon nap. (A “window” of time keeps playdates more manageable and bearable for introverts!)
I hope you’re inspired to grab your mom friends and share a cup of Dunkin’ Donuts Vanilla Cupcake Flavored Coffee! And remember – when life gets crazy, keep calm and have a cupcake (in your coffee!!)
