Two of our favorite breakfast foods are cinnamon rolls and waffles – but so often I find myself reaching for cereal, instant oatmeal, or other “quick fix” options in the morning. With this “recipe” – cinnamon rolls and waffles don’t need to be reserved for special occasions. In less than 5 minutes, you can have cinnamon roll waffles on the table!
Everyone at our house LOVED these waffles – and we will definitely be making them again! Plus, I love having another way to use one of my appliances. I love my “fun” kitchen appliances – but really appreciate it when they can do more than one thing. There are SO many ways to utilize a good waffle maker.
I love my waffle iron. My good friend Becky gave it to us for Christmas one year, and it makes the best waffles ever. I have a Waring Flip Waffle Iron. You can use any waffle iron you have on hand (square, circular, Mickey), and these will turn out fantastically.

Unroll the tube of cinnamon rolls. If necessary, pre-heat your waffle iron. (I like to give my waffle iron a quick spray of Pam before each use.) Place one roll into each section of your waffle iron, as show below:
I had my waffle iron set at one of the lower settings (2 minutes) – as I wanted to keep my waffles on the softer side. Use your waffle iron as directed, and use the setting that will yield the desired crispness you prefer.
Lift the lid, and prepare for an absolutely delicious breakfast.
This is the best of both worlds. You have the warm, sweet, cinnamon flavor, and the convenience of a waffle. This is our new favorite way to enjoy cinnamon rolls AND waffles! Don’t forget to top your waffles with the frosting that typically comes in the package. These are so delicious!
The next time you’re at the grocery store, throw a tube or two of those cinnamon rolls in your cart, and give this a try! It works!
