It was girls night out last night, as my friend and I went to see Mamma Mia! at the Keller Auditorium in Portland, Oregon. We were so excited to watch Sophie’s plan to find her father unfold onstage. The night was filled with laughter, emotion, music, and fun. If you decide to get tickets and head to the “island”, this is one wedding you’ll never forget!

The ensemble cast in this production is incredible – bringing life, color, and moments of hilarity to the background of this beloved story. Donna’s Dynamos are truly dynamic – and delivered some of the show’s best moments.

As with most productions, some of my favorite moments were when the entire cast appeared together onstage. They were able to bring the audience together through music and dance. I couldn’t help but smile as the cast performed two encore numbers at the end of the show – watching the entire auditorium start singing and dancing along. The theater is about a shared experience – and a unique bond forms between you and the other audience-goers. It’s magic, and something everyone should experience in their lifetime.
