As soon as school gets out for summer vacation, my kids seem to start talking about Halloween. They are always so excited to choose their costume for trick-or-treating. This year, my kids are all about MARVEL.
The boys knew without hesitation that they wanted to be Iron Man and Captain America this year, and I was so excited to find a wide selection of superhero costumes at Oriental Trading! From Marvel to DC – there is a superhero for everyone! Whether your kids are crazy for The Avengers like mine, or long to be Wonder Woman or Batman – you’ll find a cute superhero costume your kiddo will love at a price you can afford.
The boys couldn’t wait for their costumes to arrive. (I’ve never had two people more excited to check the mailbox every day!) The day the box from Oriental Trading arrived they were absolutely over the moon. They were so thrilled with their costumes, and couldn’t wait to put them on!
The boys were thrilled to dress-up like their favorite superhero, and I loved the one-piece design and included masks! (*Iron Man gloves were an add-on purchase, also available on the OT site.) These costumes are also great for unknown weather. We’ve had warm Halloweens and super-rainy/chilly Halloweens. I know that I can easily slip some long-johns underneath these suits for a chilly night and rest easy that the boys won’t over-heat if it’s a warmer October 31st.
The costumes are super-cute and were true-to-size. The Iron Man costume was the “Deluxe” version, and features “built-in muscles.” (How adorable can you get?!) Both boys felt like their costume truly represented their favorite comic book hero and were more than excited to wear them.
The boys may or may not be like having their own little “Civil War Rivalry” at home. They take their “sides” pretty seriously. 😉

Since receiving our amazing costumes, so much pretend play has transpired in our home. The boys are constantly playing The Avengers, and I can’t even tell you how many times “Iron Man” has come down to breakfast in the morning. 😉
