I am a Feld Family Ambassador, and in exchange for my time and efforts in attending shows and reporting my opinion within this blog, as well as keeping you advised of the latest discount offers, Feld Entertainment has provided me with complimentary tickets to Feld shows and opportunities to attend private Feld pre-Show events. Even though I receive these benefits, I always give an opinion that is 100% mine.
My family and I had the privilege of cheering on our favorite Monster Jam® trucks and athletes today at the Monster Jam® Triple Threat SeriesTM! This action-packed show entertained and excited fans at the Portland Moda Center as eight world-class athletes went head to head in seven different competitions.
This little lady got to celebrate her birthday at Monster Jam – and she loved the show!
When you go see Monster Jam – you know you’re going to see incredible Monster Jam trucks. (And they really are pretty cool.) What you might not know, is that each athlete competes in THREE different vehicles – the Monster Jam trucks, Monster Jam Speedsters, and Monster Jam ATVs. These athletes leave it all out on the track, and give it their all in each and every event.
As the show goes on, you start to develop favorites – and feel like you get to know the athletes through the interviews that take place throughout the show. The best part is that you can show your support for your faves not just through your cheers and applause – but through your scoring! That’s right – the audience is able to act as the judge – entering scores for each driver in the non-speed events. It was easy to use, and so much fun to be in on the action! (Our kids LOVED getting to enter scores for their favorites!)
Everyone looks forward to the “Freestyle” competition. (If you love jumps and “big air” – you’ll love Freestyle.) My favorite part of Monster Jam is the Two Wheel Skills Challenge. This is the part of the competition where my husband and I developed a new favorite – Earth Shaker! Talk about some incredible skill!
Earth Shaker was one of four Monster Jam trucks making their Portland debut. We got to see Earth Shaker, Megalodon, Alien Invasion – and the afternoon overall winner – Pirate’s CurseTM! These four trucks competed alongside crowd-favorite Grave Digger®, Monster Mutt®, El Toro Loco®, and ZombieTM.
I loved that there were two female athlete drivers this year – representing Monster Mutt® and Grave Digger®! I was also excited to see Tyler and Travis Groth compete this year. They’ve become personal favorites over the years – and I love the way they support each other.
Your family is going to LOVE Monster Jam! This is an event we look forward to all year long! (And my kids have been playing “Monster Jam” ever since we got home from the show!)
If you’re in the Portland area, you can still catch Monster Jam while it is in town! If you are out of the area, you can find more information on the Monster Jam tour by visiting MonsterJam.com.
