Confession – I have a HUGE collection of children’s Christmas books. Some are books from my childhood, some are titles I gathered while teaching kindergarten, and many are books I’ve purchased for my children. During the Christmas season, we read several titles each day.
Santa Bruce is so delightfully different than most Christmas stories. It’s witty, refreshing, and I’m guessing much to Bruce’s dismay – ends up spreading cheer and happiness. Bruce doesn’t do glee. He doesn’t like happiness. And Christmas? It’s really not his thing. But I’m guessing that Santa Bruce will end up being YOUR thing.
My kids love this book, I love this book, and even the grumpiest of grumps just may find themselves saying “bah humbug” right along with our favorite curmudgeon.
The sun might be shining here today – but Santa Bruce has us in the Christmas spirit! Pick up your copy – and enter below to win one!
About Santa Bruce
Bruce is a lot of things. He is a bear. He is a grump. He is a pretty decent cook. And he is a mother. One thing Bruce is not? Santa Claus. But that doesn’t stop the whole forest from lining up to give him their Christmas wishes when he becomes the victim of mistaken identity—again. Kids will howl with laughter as award-winning author-illustrator Ryan T. Higgins delivers another hilarious story about this bear who just can’t catch a break.
