Last night, my family and I had the pleasure of attending Disney on Ice presents Dare to Dream at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. Disney On Ice is always chock-full of music, special effects, and plenty of Disney magic – and Dare to Dream did not disappoint. What an incredible night!

We started our evening by attending a special party for VIP guests. Several of the cast members from Dare to Dream were on hand to give our children a memorable experience. They were incredibly kind, helpful, friendly, and engaging. The kids loved chatting with them about all of their Disney favorites.

The kids got to make adorable kakamora cups with a Dare to Dream cast member (who we’re pretty sure played Maui!). Next they learned some of the dance moves performed in the show, and enjoyed some tasty treats. (I am constantly humbled, amazed, and overwhelmed with gratitude when it comes to the things my family has gotten to experience. I am beyond blessed.)

We had been singing all of our favorite songs from Moana in the weeks leading up to the show, so learning some dance moves was right up our alley!

We also got to say hello to a few of our Disney favorites! We felt so lucky!

Then it was time for the show! Disney on Ice presents Dare to Dream features 5 strong Disney heroines! Hooray for strong girls and role models who inspire children to find the hero within themselves. The Disney ladies are exactly the types of women I want my girls to grow up to be. They’re kind, humble, selfless, brave, and full of hope. They have gumption, guts, and grace.

The show features storylines from some of your favorite Disney heroines including Belle, Cinderella, and Rapunzel. I am always a huge fan of any Disney on Ice segment featuring Rapunzel. Not only does she take to the ice – she takes to the air in an incredible aerial display. It’s breathtaking!

In the second half, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf take to the ice. There’s nothing quite like hearing an entire arena full of little girls belting out “Let it Go” while Elsa works some pretty amazing magic right before your eyes. You don’t want to miss it! (I’ve seen Elsa work her magic in the Moda Center three times now, and it brings out the little kid in me each and every time. You need to see it!)

We were SO excited to see Moana take to the ice for the very first time! We watched as Moana set out on a quest across the ocean with demigod Maui, as she sought to restore the heart of Te Fiti.

The Moana segment features your favorite songs and moments from the film including “How Far I’ll Go,” “You’re Welcome,” and “Shiny.” While all 6 of us enjoyed the entire show, Moana was definitely our favorite.

I highly encourage you to see Disney on Ice presents Dare to Dream! It is an evening sprinkled with pixie-dust and plenty of Disney magic you and your family won’t soon forget!
